CHIP TUNING

Vehicle Software

ECU Technology

In today's rapidly advancing technology, our vehicles now work entirely with miniature computers, which we can call coding and motion control units (brains). In our modern vehicles, these small but effective computers perform vital tasks for engine management, while successfully monitoring the vehicle's electronic systems. These coding units (ECU) are connected via motor customized cables and special ports.

The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) determines the commands for the engine by using analog and digital signals from the sensors it is connected to. These commands consist of many factors that affect the performance of the engine such as injection, ignition, emission control, turbo.

Performance potential of up to 35% usually exists on factory-built vehicles (depending on the vehicle type), but this potential may not be used.

EcuCodeX comes into play here and acts according to the wishes of the users. EcuCodeX gives your vehicle more horsepower (HP) and torque by customizing the maps in your vehicle's ECU. In this way, your vehicle and cargo can move more easily, and at the same time, it can save fuel.

It should not be forgotten that a more powerful vehicle allows the engine to run more efficiently, thus increasing fuel economy.

With the EcuCodeX Chip Tuning guarantee, you can have your transactions done at our authorized dealers and get the highest quality and distinctive results.

DPF, EGR, DTC and MAF

Fault Solutions

What is DPF?

The diesel particulate filter is an integral part of the exhaust system, which is placed in order to reduce the exhaust emission values of new generation diesel vehicles according to the European Union norms, than the standards of vehicles without diesel particulate filter.

What Does DPF Do?

Your exhaust gas after the operation of your diesel engine passes through a final filter before being discharged from the muffler. In new generation diesel vehicles, we call this filter "diesel particulate filter" "DPF".

Will There Be Problems If The DPF Is Canceled?

DPF cancellation does not cause any problems for your vehicle, if we can understand why the material is present, we will automatically realize that it will not pose any problem. Cancellation of the diesel particulate filter does not cause any harm, if you think that your vehicle's fuel will increase, its traction will decrease or whatever comes to your mind, whatever you read on the internet in a negative way, forget what will happen to you.

Why Canceled?

When your particle filter is full, your malfunction lamp will turn on, your vehicle will lose traction, and when you go to the service, you will be met with prices starting from 2000 TL (for the lowest model vehicles). Of course, with DPF cancellation, you can deactivate the DPF and turn off your fault lamp and continue your long journeys. We have mentioned what DPF is and what it does, as you can see, you do not need to spend thousands of lira, moreover, your performance increases up to 5%.

What is EGR (Exhaust Gas Return)?

It is the abbreviation of exhaust gas recycling system. The biggest handicap of this system for your vehicle is that the burnt exhaust gas that it puts back into the engine and the oil vapor from the crankcase ventilation of the engine combine to form a mud-like carbon accumulation in the intake manifold.

What is the Purpose of EGR?

Fuel quality in the world, including our country, is decreasing day by day. When poor quality fuels are taken into account, many negative features of the EGR will appear.

Why is EGR Canceled?

Although the EGR system tries to burn all the fuel, it draws the not completely burned, or rather partially burned gases, while it draws the burned gases along with it.

While the EGR sends the partially burned gases back to the ignition chamber (Partly burned fuels are never like in the first fuel tank and undergo carbonization as they are sent to the exhaust section through the combustion chamber), a sludge-like fuel goes to the ignition / combustion chamber as it sends the carbonized gas. In this case, the EGR partially burned gas is also sent to the ignition chamber It causes soot after towing, and as the vehicle tries to re-burn the burned gas, it increases fuel consumption and damages engine health, especially ignition mechanisms.

In the use of the EGR, the formations that will occur in the ignition chamber or your spark plugs will cause your vehicle to not be able to ignite comfortably, thus incomplete ignition and inability to ignite will occur. It will easily bring along many malfunctions such as the entire ignition system, combustion chamber, failure of the coils).

Although such systems are made to protect the nature and the air, they cause very high costs to the vehicle owners since they cannot distinguish the full gases, and may prevent the vehicle from using its full power.

For this reason, it is generally recommended to disable EGR systems (without removing the mechanical egr part) through your vehicle's software and are disabled in many vehicles.

What is DTC?

DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is a diagnostic trouble code system. The biggest advantage of this system is that it shows the fault in the vehicle and which part is faulty. If there is a problem in your vehicle, the engine sends a signal to the ECU (brain) through sensors, and the ECU detects this warning and causes the malfunction light to come on on your vehicle instrument panel and warn you. However, at this point where technology is advantageous and beneficial, today's technology cannot detect this error, even if the parts it warns are changed, the malfunction lamp continues to light, or the malfunction lamp may give a warning even in the part where it is sure that there is no malfunction.

In cases where such mechanical solutions cannot be found, it is necessary to eliminate the DTC with software coding. DTC Cancellation is software called DTC LEAK. It means that your vehicle does not give a malfunction warning under any circumstances.

Why Is the DTC Canceled?

Why Is the DTC Canceled? Flood, etc. The electronic components of the vehicles may be damaged in disasters that cause intense destruction or in cases of heavy accidents, they may be damaged in extreme temperatures in the engine part of vehicles with high mileage, dust, oil, etc. In such cases, it may be damaged, conductivity may be lost, in all such cases, your vehicle will warn you continuously with a malfunction lamp. This warning will cause your vehicle's ECU (brain) to switch to protection mode from time to time (not speeding, gas cut, etc.). Even if the simplest sensors on the vehicle are changed or an LPG application is made, it will continue to give a malfunction warning. In such cases, what you need to do is to eliminate this situation by canceling the DTC. Ecutech offers you solutions in this regard with its expert team, if it deems necessary, it finds any defective parts with mechanical tests or analyzes your transactions with its expert team on DTC cancellation.

What is MAF?

The MAF Sensor is located on the way to the intake manifold after the air filter, it measures the mass of the air entering the engine and reports it to the ECU, the brain. The flow meter is also known as the MAF sensor. MAF: Mass Air Flow : Means Air Flow Mass, flowmeter and MAF Sensor are the same sensor.

MAF Sensor Failure Condition.

If we list the malfunctions and problems that may occur in case of MAF sensor malfunction;

The vehicle stops after it starts.
The exhaust smells of raw gasoline.
An increase is observed in fuel consumption.
The vehicle has difficulty or stalls when idling or under load.
The tool gives mixed rich or poor errors.

Where to Find the MAF Sensor?

The MAF Sensor (flow meter) is located at the intake manifold inlet after the air filter on all vehicles. It is connected to the ECU with a connection socket.

MAF Sensor (flow meter) (air mass meter) is used in gasoline engines as well as in new generation diesel vehicles.

Some vehicles do not have a Maf Sensor (flow meter), the mass of air taken into the engine in these vehicles; It is calculated by the ECU using the air temperature information from the intake air temperature sensor and the air pressure information from the intake manifold absolute pressure sensor.

What Happens If MAF SENSOR (Flowmeter) Fails?

If the MAF Sensor (flowmeter) fails, the yellow malfunction lamp will illuminate on the driver's instrument cluster. Idle fluctuations occur.

The engine will then go into failure mode, but may continue to run. Since the ECU cannot measure the amount of air taken in, it will continue to run the engine according to a predetermined value in its memory.

The rpm and speed of the engine operating in the malfunction mode will not exceed a certain value, your vehicle will enter the protection mode, but it will allow the vehicle to be taken to the nearest service where the engine will operate at low speeds and not exceeding a certain speed limit. (There may be different operations depending on the models)

Lambda

Fault Solution

What is Lambda?

Technically known as (NOX) Lambda sensor, it is a sensor called Oxygen Sensor by many.
Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor is the sensor that detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas and reports it to the engine control unit (ECU). That is, how much of the air (oxygen) taken into the engine has been burned (used)? How much of it was expelled from the exhaust gas without burning? this is looked into. This information informs the engine control unit (ECU - BRAIN) about the combustion (explosion) in the combustion chamber of the engine.

Where is Lambda?

The Lambda Sensor is located at the outlet of the exhaust manifold. There is a catalytic converter at the outlet of the exhaust manifold, the lambda sensor is installed in the exhaust pipe as a probe just before the catalytic converter.

In general, the number of lambda sensors is 1, but two lambda sensors are used in new generation cars. The first of the sensors is located on the inlet side of the catalytic converter and the second on the exhaust pipe on the outlet side of the catalytic converter. The reason for using the second sensor is to check the operation of the catalytic converter, to determine whether it is working correctly.

What are the Symptoms of Lambda Sensor Failure?

Lambda sensors are very durable sensors in the environment in which they operate, but over time they may need to be replaced.

As the lambda sensors lose their properties and become heavily polluted, their measurement sensitivity decreases and they cannot produce a sensitive voltage signal. A layer may form on the probe tip of the lambda sensor, due to pollutants such as water-sludge-dust from the external environment, or due to lead, sulphur, silicon, fuel ash and fuel additives from the exhaust gas.

In this case, the engine cannot adjust the air-fuel mixture ideally, fuel consumption increases, exhaust emissions increase, engine performance decreases. When the lambda sensor fails completely, the engine will often run with a rich mixture, which will increase fuel consumption excessively. The fuel consumption of my vehicle has increased a lot, it started to burn a lot, if you say what should I do, if there is no fault in the piston-cylinder-valve system, the reason is that the lambda (oxygen) sensor is broken - excessively dirty. Sensor voltage inspection can be done with special measuring instruments or an oscilloscope in the healthiest way, so that the voltage waves produced by the sensor can be seen and interpreted better.

Intervention by non-experts in order to cancel the Lambda sensor will have bad results.

Speed Limiter

Cancellation

What is speed limiter?

Speed Limiter is a very common restriction application, especially in many vehicles produced after 2002. It is the legal practice of many automotive manufacturers to end top speed races and to increase safety, and almost all manufacturers apply a limiter to the quality of their vehicles.

With this limiter, when your vehicle reaches a certain KM, it will cut off the throttle at high speeds such as 190 km/h and will not exceed that speed.

With our expert team, we will support you on issues such as canceling the speed limiter, moving the speed limiter to a different km/h.

Adblue

Fault Solution

What is Adblue?

Adblue is a type of fuel that is sent to the combustion chambers by combining with diesel, which is developed to reduce carbon emissions in diesel vehicles in general. It can also be called a fuel additive.

In which vehicles is Adblue found?

In the event that Adblue is finished, the vehicle will directly lose performance due to torque loss, and this performance loss will bring many problems along with it. Vehicle breakdowns caused by Adblue are generally very costly breakdowns. Moreover, the simplest breakdowns of AdBlue malfunctions cost more than 10 thousand liras. When we assume the weight carried on the trailer or in the bus after the vehicle has lost torque, you can clearly see that your vehicle is regressing on the ramps.
With the sensors reaching the ECU (brain) from the Adblue tank, your vehicle will detect if there is no adblue and these malfunctions will start to occur all of a sudden.
